Critique giveaway!

Happy one year anniversary to us!

It’s been an eventful year, not least because some of us (Elaine, Helen) posted some of their very first blog posts for this blog. Along the way, we’ve written, laughed, revised, read–and regularly interrupted that process for our various real-life responsibilities.

In any case, to thank those of you who have made writing for this blog such a pleasure, we’re hosting a critique giveaway.

As we’ve mentioned before, all of us are teachers in some capacity or other for our day jobs. Among other things, this makes us good at giving feedback, because it’s something we do on a regular basis. This giveaway is our way of giving back a little something to a writing community that has been generous to us.

We’re giving away three critiques:

Two first chapter critiques (up to ten pages). If the winners are interested, we’ll post the first 250 words here on the blog, with our feedback, and open up the comments for additional feedback.

One query critique, which will be held live on the blog. One of our writers will offer feedback on the query, and then we’ll open up the comments for additional feedback.

The contest will close one week from today–November 12, at midnight.

To enter, you must comment on this post (if you have  preference about which critique you would like, please indicate it in your comment).

Additional entries will be granted for posting about the contest on your blog, Facebook, or Twitter. Just tell us in the comments what you did.
